Never ceases to amaze me how, when, or where a marketing message will convert into a lead or a sale.
This one just happened to me the other day.
It's been really rainy in my area for a few weeks. And with rain, there are ants. And sometimes mice. Well, I noticed a trail of ants running over one of our counters.
We don't usually get regular pest-control service. But I needed it now.
And this guy's truck is parked in one of the shopping centers in my town. I think his wife works at one of the stores, so she parks the truck while she works. And his truck magnets just sit on that truck all day facing all the people walking and driving around the parking lot. All day. No extra work, just another example of auto-pilot marketing at its greatest.
In fact, the truck has been parked there so many times that I immediately thought of him to call. Now. When I finally needed the service.
I had to run to the store and you guessed it, his white truck was sitting right there in the same place, with the car magnets proudly displaying his pest control service.
So I called him. Marketing objective accomplished!
Sure, we sell car and truck magnets, but I'm really hoping to make a point that your marketing message might get a lead or sale many days, weeks or months from now. But if it's out there, and it's not costing you any (or much) money to display it, most marketing messages will finally convert- it just takes the right time, right exposure, and the want and need of a prospect. Shoot, the guy with his truck magnets was actually doing branding while he marketed. I actually thought of him first.
Thanks for reading!
Cheers,
Chris
