It's easy to get caught in a trap of repeating the same marketing strategies or events. And it can lead to burn-out, for both you and your prospects!
The solution? Constantly learn and try new ideas- and test the results!
Not only is it exciting to learn a new marketing strategy, but implementing it can really get you fired-up again about marketing. And it's exciting to track and test the results.
Many years ago, we learned about a type of snail-mail marketing letter. So we tried it. And the phone started ringing off the hook! Our sales team was extremely happy with the results, and it was a marketing system we continued to use for a very long time.
There are many ways to find new ideas. Here are three that I use:
1) Research and find a great marketing oriented book from a solid author
I've built a nice library over the years by marketing "greats." What's interesting is that even though many of these books are decades old, most of the ideas and strategies work just as well today.
2) Observe what successful companies are doing (not just in your industry.) Sometimes you can "borrow" a new strategy that will be even more successful!
3) Keep an eye on what other companies are doing in your industry. Maybe they're implementing marketing strategies that you could tweak and use to get even better results for your business.
By learning new ideas (and better yet, trying them!) you'll stay excited and more than likely find many new customers in the process!
Thank you for reading,
Cheers,
Chris
